How Wallet by BudgetBakers works
You set up accounts (checking, cash, a credit card, a brokerage account, a crypto balance) in any currency, and Wallet converts them to one base currency using automatic exchange rates. On Premium, linked banks sync once a day and transactions are categorized for you; on the free tier you enter them by hand or import CSV, XLS or OFX files.
Budgets are set per category and can repeat weekly or monthly, run for a custom period, or be one-off. A hypothetical example: you set a recurring $400 monthly budget for Food and Drinks and a one-time $1,500 budget for a move. Wallet tracks each separately and alerts you as either fills up.
Planned payments remind you of upcoming bills, and cash-flow reports compare income with spending. Premium Group Sharing lets you share chosen accounts with a partner while keeping others private. BudgetBakers also offers a REST API and an MCP integration so AI assistants such as Claude or ChatGPT can read your Wallet data.
