Kubera Review (2026)

Kubera is a net worth balance sheet for people whose money sits in many places: banks, brokerages, crypto wallets, real estate and private investments. The one thing to know: there is no free plan, prices are shown only as yearly totals, and paid fees are non-refundable except where the law requires. Essentials costs $250 a year after a 14-day trial.

Our arithmetic from the listed prices, before sales tax, assuming today's prices hold; subscriptions can renew at a different rate. Prices are in US dollars and shown only as yearly totals. Kubera's terms allow monthly or annual billing, but the pricing section lists no monthly price. Kubera says it will never charge based on assets under management. Paid fees are non-refundable except where the law requires.

How Kubera works

Kubera is a balance sheet, not a budgeting or advice tool. You link bank and brokerage accounts through one of several aggregators (Plaid, Finicity, MX, Yodlee, SnapTrade and others, depending on the country), add crypto by wallet address or exchange, and enter what cannot be linked, such as a house, a car or a stake in a private fund. Kubera says the aggregators return a read-only feed and it never sees your bank login. Private investments get capital-call and distribution tracking and an IRR once you enter the cost. To see how the total compares with a simple estimate, our net worth calculator does the same arithmetic by hand.

Two features set it apart from stock-focused trackers. Dead Man's Switch sends your portfolio to beneficiaries you choose if you stop responding for too long, and Fast Forward models how events such as selling a company or buying a house would change the balance sheet. You can share a portfolio with family, an adviser or an accountant. Black adds ownership tags for trusts and entities and nested portfolios for complex holdings. Kubera Apps, Inc. is a US company and stores data in the United States. It does not advertise tax reports, dividend forecasts or a time-weighted return.

A hypothetical cost: you pay $250 for Essentials and stop using Kubera after 3 months. Because paid fees are non-refundable except where the law requires, those months cost $250 / 3 = $83.33 each. Kept for the full year, the same plan works out to $250 / 12 = $20.83 a month. The 14-day trial with every feature is the time to find out whether your banks and brokers connect before you pay.

Pros

  • Links accounts through nine aggregators, plus crypto by wallet address
  • Tracks illiquid assets such as private funds, real estate and collectibles next to brokerage accounts
  • Dead Man's Switch passes your portfolio to beneficiaries
  • No ads, and Kubera says it does not sell personal data
  • Flat yearly price, never based on assets

Cons

  • No free plan; $250 a year to start
  • Fees are non-refundable except where the law requires
  • No tax reports or dividend forecasts advertised
  • Black at $2,500 and Gold at $10,000 a year are priced for complex family wealth

Who Kubera fits, and who should skip it

A good fit if

  • Your net worth includes real estate, private investments or crypto, not only brokerage accounts.
  • You want family or an executor to receive your financial picture if something happens to you.
  • You hold assets through trusts or entities and want them tagged and nested (Black plan).

Look elsewhere if

  • You want a free tracker for a stock portfolio: Yahoo Finance has free portfolios with US brokerage linking.
  • You need capital-gains and dividend income reports: Sharesight is built around them.
  • You mostly hold crypto and want a cheap app: Delta has a free plan and PRO from $53.88 a year.

Limitations to know

  • Kubera says some institutions do not connect; those accounts need manual updates. [1]
  • The pricing section shows yearly prices only, so there is no published month-to-month option. [1]
  • Kubera describes itself as a balance sheet with "no budgeting, no advice". [4]
  • Kubera is not a registered financial adviser or broker-dealer and gives no personalized advice. [2]
  • We found no tax reports, dividend calendar or time-weighted return on Kubera's pages.

Security and privacy

  • Account links are read-only feeds from the aggregators; Kubera says it never sees your bank credentials and cannot start transactions. [3]
  • Two-factor login is available with TOTP authenticator apps or through Google sign-in. [3]
  • Data is encrypted at rest and in transit but not end to end, and support staff can see your data in logged, approved sessions. [3]
  • Kubera says it does not sell personal data or run ads. Its privacy policy allows sharing limited non-financial data, such as your email address or device IDs, with ad platforms to market Kubera itself, and it uses Google Analytics. [2]
  • Kubera says it does not let AI providers train their models on your data. [2]

Kubera FAQ

How much does Kubera cost?

Essentials is $250 a year, Black $2,500 and Gold $10,000. Kubera shows yearly prices only and offers a 14-day trial with all features. Paid fees are non-refundable except where the law requires.

Is Kubera free?

No. There is a 14-day trial but no free plan. For a free tracker, see <a href="/portfolio-trackers/yahoo-finance/">Yahoo Finance</a> or the open-source options in our <a href="/portfolio-trackers/">portfolio tracker comparison</a>.

Is Kubera worth it?

It is built for net worth spread across banks, brokers, crypto, property and private funds, with beneficiary hand-off. If your money is mostly in one or two brokerage accounts, a free tracker covers that, and Kubera does not offer tax reports or dividend forecasts.

Is Kubera safe?

Kubera says account links are read-only through aggregators such as Plaid and Yodlee, so it never sees your bank login and cannot move money. It offers two-factor login and encrypts data at rest and in transit, but not end to end. It says it does not sell personal data or run ads.

Does Kubera sync with my broker?

Kubera links banks and brokerages through nine aggregators and says it covers thousands of institutions worldwide, but also that some do not connect. Use the 14-day trial to check yours before paying.

How we researched this review

We did not get paid or receive a free account for this page. We read Kubera's own pricing page, help center, security and privacy pages and app-store listing on October 19, 2026, quoted each fact from those pages, and link every one below. We did not run a long-term hands-on test, so we do not score the app; where a point rests on what the company says rather than something we can check, we attribute it to Kubera. Cost figures are our own arithmetic. We re-check prices and plans about once a month and log changes in the table above.
