Koyfin is a web-based financial data terminal: company financials, analyst estimates, charts and macro dashboards on one screen, for investors who research fundamentals across many markets. The one thing to know: the free plan is useful but keeps only 2 years of financials, and the prices Koyfin shows first are yearly-billing rates. Plus costs $39 a month billed yearly ($468) or $49 billed monthly.

Our arithmetic from the listed prices, before sales tax, assuming today's prices hold; subscriptions can renew at a different rate. Koyfin prints per-month rates; the yearly totals are those rates times 12. Its pricing page opens on yearly billing, and Koyfin says the monthly plan is not discounted. Payments go through Stripe by credit card.
How Koyfin works
Koyfin is organized around dashboards. Market and macro dashboards show indices, rates, currencies and commodities; company pages show financial statements, estimates, valuation multiples, transcripts and news; and you can build your own dashboards, screens and charts that compare companies or plot a formula. Koyfin says its equity fundamentals and consensus estimates come from S&P Capital IQ and its fund data from Morningstar.
The free plan works for a quick look, but it keeps only 2 years of financials and allows 2 screens and 5 alerts. Plus raises history to 10 years, adds the stock and ETF screener with unlimited watchlists, screens and dashboards, and 50 alerts. Premium adds portfolio analytics, unlimited custom formulas and 500 alerts. The Advisor tiers add client reports, model portfolios and custodian connections for advisory firms. New sign-ups get all features for 7 days, then drop to the free plan without a charge.
A hypothetical year on Premium: billed monthly it costs $110 x 12 = $1,320; billed yearly it costs $79 x 12 = $948, which saves $372, about 28%. On Plus the gap is smaller: $49 x 12 = $588 against $468, a $120 saving. Because the page opens on yearly prices, the $79 you see first is not what a month-to-month subscriber pays.

Who Koyfin fits, and who should skip it
A good fit if
- You research company fundamentals and analyst estimates and want 10 years of history in one place.
- You follow macro data, rates and currencies alongside stocks.
- You want to try every feature free for a week, with no charge if you do nothing.
Look elsewhere if
- You want to export data through an API: Koyfin offers none; OpenBB is a Python toolkit for that.
- You trade from charts and want strategy backtesting: TradingView.
- You want financial statements and broker sync for less: Stock Analysis Pro is $79 a year.
Limitations to know
- Non-US, non-Canadian prices are end of day, Canadian prices are 15 minutes delayed, and US prices are a mix of live and delayed. That help page was last updated in September 2024. [5]

- There are no student plans or student discounts. [4]
- Custodian connections and PDF brokerage statement upload are on the Advisor tiers only. [2]

Security and privacy
- Koyfin's privacy policy says "We do not sell your personal data", but it shares personal data with service providers and other third parties, including advertisers, and allows tracking for targeted ads. [11]

- Koyfin's About page mentions two-factor authentication, but its help page on 2FA did not load, so we could not confirm how it works. [10]
- Koyfin lists no broker or custodian connection on Plus or Premium, so those plans do not ask for a broker login; custodian links are an Advisor-tier feature. [2]
